In common with the early church creeds, we hold that there is only one true, eternal God, Creator of the universe, who is one in being but who comprises three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Son took on the nature of humanity and lived a perfect life. He both taught and exemplified that to love God and neighbor is of highest importance. He died voluntarily under the judgment of God for our sins, he was raised from the dead and he ascended to his present place of heavenly exaltation.

He now intercedes for his people and waits for the time of his return and visible reign over the earth. During this time the Holy Spirit is accomplishing the purposes of God through the church and in the life of the believer.

It is only by God’s love and grace, through faith in Christ and his sacrifice, that we may have forgiveness of sins. It is only by the Holy Spirit that we can be born into eternal life with God. Our source for faith and for our practice, including love, holiness and justice, is the Bible, which is true in all it affirms.
